About Clark Hall
Clark Hall differs greatly from a traditional school building or annex. It's a modern, unconventional, state-of-the-art, dynamic learning environment featuring flexible classroom furnishings, collaborative spaces, abundant natural lighting and stimulating, vibrant colors. It is designed not only to address space constraints at Lincoln HS, it fosters the development of the necessary skills appropriate for the 21st century and beyond. Design elements also feature an emphasis on collaboration, and independent thinking; supported by wireless technology throughout to encourage additional group or independent study.
It all culminates to create a dynamic environment for the approximately 400 Lincoln HS juniors and seniors who take classes on the second and third floors.
Clark Hall has a collaborative lease with Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools.
Additional Information
- Clark Hall is the home of the Gahanna-Jefferson Board of Education’s monthly meetings
- Over time, the cost to build Clark Hall will be covered through the revenue streams from the various leases
- The building is named after Gahanna's founder, John Clark. Gahanna was founded along the Big Walnut Creek in 1849 by John Clark of Ross County from 800 acres of land that his father, Joseph Clark, had purchased from Governor Worthington in 1814.
