About Gahanna Lincoln High School

A progressive, academically rigorous school and a vital community facility, Lincoln High School (LHS) has a student population of 2,400 in grades 9-12. The school colors are blue and gold, and the mascot is the lion. The high school is accredited by the Ohio Department of Education and by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

There are 158 certificated teachers, 56 classified/unclassified staff and six administrators at the high school. The average classroom experience is 12 years and 82% of the teachers have a master's degree or beyond.

LHS consists of three interconnected buildings on a 38-acre site that includes a district administrative office building, athletic fields and another building Clark Hall located at the corner of Granville and Hamilton road. “Jefferson Hall” includes classroom spaces for freshmen, social studies and special education, and a state-of-the-art technology center. Classrooms are wired for closed circuit television, Internet and computer accessibility. On a 37-acre site adjacent to Blacklick Elementary are a soccer practice field and high school baseball complex with locker room facilities.

Lincoln High School offers a comprehensive academic program with a variety of courses to meet the needs of a diverse student population. Classes include Advanced Placement (AP), Honors courses and a variety of special education opportunities. Students may choose courses from the following areas of study: Art, Business, Computer Science, English & Language Arts, International Languages, Math, Music, Physical Education & Health, Science, Science Academy, Social Studies, Technology Education, Vocational Education, DECA Marketing Program and Work & Family Life.

Students may attend classes in School-to-Career or School-to-College programs through Eastland–Fairfield Career Centers. Architectural Construction Management, Bioscience Technology and Teaching Professions are School-to-College Eastland-Fairfield Career Center programs operated at Clark Hall. Lincoln High School participates in the Post-Secondary Educational Options Program in accordance with the Ohio Board of Education guidelines, allowing students to earn college and high school credit through successful completion of college courses. Additionally, the high school offers an alternative program through the the Lion's C.L.A.W. Academy which helps students to refocus and recover academic credits in order to graduate with their class.
