Blacklick Students Shine at Art Exhibition

This past weekend, young artists from across Ohio gathered at Riverside Hospital for the 45th annual Youth Art Month (YAM) Art Exhibition reception! This prestigious juried show, organized by the Ohio Art Education Association, invites art educators from eight regions across the state to submit outstanding artwork from PK-8th grade students.

We are thrilled to share that two talented students from Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools were featured in this year’s exhibition! Blacklick Elementary first grader Illayria Grayhem and fifth grader Amelia Boiarski had their artwork selected for display, representing our district with creativity and skill.

Being chosen for YAM is a tremendous honor, as it showcases the hard work, imagination, and artistic growth of young students. We are so proud of Illayria and Amelia for their accomplishments and grateful to their teachers for fostering a love of the arts in our schools.
