School Meal Menus

GJPS takes great pride and care in the meals we serve every day. Our goal is to make sure all students have access to healthy and colorful fruits, vegetables, and whole grains that are sure to keep your student energized both in and out of the classroom! 

Each school lunch offered includes five food components: an entrée with proteins and whole grains, a fruit, a vegetable, and a selection of low-fat or fat-free milk. Students must select three out of the five components to constitute a reimbursable meal. At least one out of the three components must be a serving of a fruit or a vegetable. K-8 students can select up to two servings of vegetables and one serving of fruit, and high school students can select up to two servings of both vegetables and fruits.

Each school breakfast offered includes four food components: an entrée with whole grains (which may also include a breakfast protein,) a fruit or vegetable juice, and a selection of low-fat or fat-free milk. Students must select three out of the four components to constitute a reimbursable breakfast. At least one of the three components selected must be a serving of a fruit of a vegetable.

Lion's Lunch is menu made by our Food Service Staff that gives us the opportunity to celebrate national holidays, special Gahanna events, and more! This day lets us engage and have fun with our students, decorate our kitchens, and make lunch even more exciting! Every month a Flyer will be posted that explains what we will be having for the day, along with the nutritional information for each item.
